Creating a Relationship of Student Accountability
Steven Fitch, M.A.Ed.
Often time's parents can be in denial on this stage. They think they are being too hard on their kids or ignore the problem outright. This is a point where parents have to be honest and candid with themselves and ask some very simple questions about what consequences lie if the commitments of their school work are not filled. Now I am not suggesting capital punishment for a missed homework assignment, but there has to be a set of checks and balances for there to be educational progress.
