About David Brown

I specialize in helping learners grasp the basics of statistical concepts and techniques that they are finding hard to understand. I also enjoy helping people think through and develop their own social and health research ideas. My background includes extensive experience in teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in basic and advanced social research methods, including statistical analysis and the application of qualitative methods. My teaching has been complemented by working on a diverse set of applied health care research projects. The main focus of my own research has been with how individuals with substance use problems access and use health services and supports.
