Hello! I´m Päivi from Lahti, Finland. Originally I come from Turku. Currently I´m teaching English in a secondary vocational school. My students are aged from 16-20ish and they study business, IT and library services. Next autumn I will also give English and Swedish classes for haridressers and beauticians. I will also concentrate on giving English classes within our entrepreneurship study modules offered to all the students in our vocational institute. As to virtual teaching, I use Moodle and have tried Second Life a bit. I´m into taking part in Comenius courses arranged for teachers all around Europe. So far I´ve participated courses held in Dublin and Istanbul and this summer I´m heading to Exeter on a drama techinques course. I´ve applied to a course in Prague next October and I´m planning to roll on a course in Malta next Feb, and to do a six-week job shadowing in a secondary vocational school in England next summer.
