Hi Hanny,
No, you are not correct in this case. The correct form here is " . . . it were. . . ." This the the conditional form which indicates something that is contrary to fact. For example, "If I were rich (but I'm not), I would buy a jet airplane." "If it weren't raining right now (but it is raining right now), I would go to the beach." I hope this explains the reason for using "it were" instead of "it was." I can also say that in American English, this form is disappearing; however, for academic or formal English, you should use this form. It is the most correct form. Thank you for your question!

Yes, it should be this month in the answer. I will ask WiZiQ to change that! Thank you!

This is the form of conditional grammar which something contrary to the fact is stated. In this case, "I WISH rap music WERE not on TV. I wish IT WERE not on TV." Another example is: "If I WERE you (but I'm NOT you), I would do something." It's common practice but not best practice to say, "If I WAS you, I would do something." "It were" IS the most correct form. Today, as English "dumbs down" as we say, "was" is becoming acceptable for any case, except in my academic circles. In fact, in some places, all irregular verbs are now becoming regular; "shine" for example. I hope this helps explain.

'Adhorr' should be single 'r'. I think you forgot to delete it. Thank you for a good review.

Hi Nik,
Yes, the correct answer to question number six is answer choice #1. Here's the reason: "tempted" means to have an inclination to do something but at the same time, you know you should not do it. If you are tempted to cheat on a test, you might or might not choose to cheat. In any case, you are tempted to do it. I hope this explains the answer. If not, please let me know. Thank you for your question Nik!

Dean don't you think that a email should be sent when anyone reply your comment
i saw your reply suddenly, suppose if i didn't come here then wouldn't be able to see your reply.
Think over it.

Hi Nik,
If someone sends me an e-mail, I reply by e-mail. If someone posts a comment, I reply to the comment. I have nothing in my e-mail via WiZiQ or in my private e-mail to which I can reply. WiZiQ has designed it this way so that anyone who has taken the same test can see all the comments and replies to comments. I suppose that if anyone wanted to send a message to a teacher, one could do that and the teacher would be able to reply with a message via the same medium, WiZiQ mail. I do prefer to follow the recommended protocol. Thanks for your comments.
