Every professional needs to be ready to talk about the topic they master in front of other people at some time in their career. It is common ground to hear very experienced people talk about their fears when they have to speak to their clients, peers or even to their subordinates about serious business. In this session we will give you hints that will make you feel self-confident when speaking in public. We will see how to organize professional presentations, what to do and what not to do when facing the audience. Besides, we will highlight useful language expressions to link the different parts of your talk and we will refer to best suggested ways to begin and end a good presentation.

About the presenter:
Paula Ledesma

Paula is a graduate teacher on English with postgraduate degree in History of the USA. She is now a researcher on the applications of new technologies to education. For the last 5 years, she has been the coordinator of studies at Institute Helping North ELT which offers lessons in-company and private homes and which outsources services to other institutions. She is also the coordinator of the English department and lecturer at OTT College, which specializes in Hospitality and Public Relationships. She has been teaching language and history at St Catherine’s Moorlands School, at middle school level and is an international examiner for the IB diplomas in charge of assessing History papers. Paula is currently teaching English online to students from all around the world and is in charge of the organization of the online teachers’ social network Teach with Internet
