About the Class

Every professional needs to be ready to talk about the topic they master in front of other people at some time in their career. It is common ground to hear very experienced people talk about their fears when they have to speak to their clients, peers or even to their subordinates about serious business. In this session we will give you hints that will make you feel self-confident when speaking in public. We will see how to organize professional presentations, what to do and what not to do when facing the audience. Besides, we will highlight useful language expressions to link the different parts of your talk and we will refer to best suggested ways to begin and end a good presentation.

Paula Ledesma is a qualified teacher of English and Licenciada en Lengua Inglesa. She completed post-graduate studies on History of the USA. She is currently perusing a Masters degree on Education Technology at the University of Buenos Aires. She has attended professional development courses in the UK, at the University of Reading, and she has also completed several online training courses on the uses of new technologies in education.
Paula is the coordinator of studies at Institute Helping North ELT and she also coordinates the English department and is an e-learning tutor at OTT College. She is a teacher trainer and teaches ICT applied to ELT at the National Technological University (INSPT UTN). She has taught language and history at different bilingual schools in northern Bs As and is an international examiner of IB History papers. She has delivered both seminars and webinars for educators on the application of new technologies. She has taught English online to students from all around the world and is the moderator of several web 2.0 websites such as www.teach-with-interent.wikispaces.com and www.explorando-web20.blogspot.com
She is a passionate researcher and author of articles such as “Internet and teaching”, “Web 2.0 for beginners”, “Have Fun with your Stuff Online”, “Creativity online: Create and share” and “www.teach: Employing Web 2.0 Techniques for Fostering Students Creative Use of the Language in ESL and EFL Classrooms”.
