About the Class

The presenter will introduce Differential Calculus in this session. We will learn how to find out the differential coefficient ''dy/dx'' of a function, its significance & interpretation & the methods to find it. We will understand its physical & graphical interpretation & importance.

We will learn the basic formulas of derivatives & will solve questions on finding the differential coefficient. We will also deal with Higher Order Derivatives & methods like Logarithmic Differentiation.

We will learn the two basic rules of differential calculus:

  • Product Rule
  • Chain Rule
We will use the product rule itself for solving questions we would otherwise solve with the quotient rule.
Previous session in the series: Limits: Its Methods & Applications

Language of instruction:

Keywords: differential calculus, differential coefficient, function, higher order derivatives, logarithmic differentiation
