About the Class

This session will introduce you to the programmer technique of test-driven development (TDD). You''ll learn:

  • What TDD is,
  • What it is not,
  • Who does it, and when.
You''ll learn the distinction between test-driven and test-after development.

Most importantly you''ll learn the benefits of TDD, and why it can help you survive when tackling an agile project.

While TDD is a programmer''s technique, this session is geared toward anyone wanting to understand more about using TDD to help execute an agile project successfully. Managers, project managers, testers, analysts, architects, Scrum masters, and all others are welcome. Please note that the term TDD can also refer to "story test-driven development," a similar process that involves the whole agile team. This discussion will be limited to only the programmer technique.

Language of instruction:

Keywords: agile, xp, tdd, test driven development
