About Halina Ostankowicz-Bazan
Halina is a Polish and English Teacher from Poland. She has been working at Wroclaw University of Technology since 1976 as a Lecturer. She was graduated from Wroclaw University in Poland with Master of Arts in 1975 and did variety of additional studies such as Polish-American Study of Social Communication in Organization and Management, 1998.

She teaches Polish as a second language as well as English. She also runs lectures Polish History and Culture for students from all over the world. Now she is learning how to teach using new technologies and looking for some inspiration.

WizIQ has fascinated Halina since she found the Platform on Feb 06, 2011. She is interested in new technologies and knowing the latest technologies to teach online. In addition to this, she finds talking about Culture and Cultural Differences interesting. Opportunity to meet people from all the Globe is one of the reasons she appreciates WizIQ so much.

Halina is a music lover and thinks that teaching language using songs is an effective and enjoyable way of improving language skills. This is why she is a member of The Edupunk Team and gives public conversational classes on WizIQ based on different American songs. She was raised with music around her so it has always been her passion and important way of living.

She finds Virtual Classes very exciting and challenging. In her opinion, they make attendees feel like having a real meeting and discussion. Visual aspect and non-verbal communication is extremely significant. Moreover, an opportunity to speak online with people from around the world is overwhelming experience.

Halina is married and has two children.

Nellie holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in educational leadership specializing in curriculum & instruction and is an E-Learning Professional Development Specialist.

She is the founder of Integrating Technology for Active Lifelong Learning (IT4ALL), an online informal network of volunteers that provides free and low-cost professional development workshops for educators around the world. The hands-on workshops help teachers learn to integrate technology into blended and fully online classes for private and public courses.
