How Moodle can be the backbone of your school district showcasing the multiple ways Moodle can be utilized in a K-12 school district. Some examples include:

Karrie Anne Vitti is the founder and president of Train My Teacher a certified MWBE company. She is a cutting edge instructional technology consultant who has been working with school districts and colleges for over ten years. Her expertise is working with teachers and administrators enhancing their pedagogy through the effective use of a variety of powerful technology tools. These tools include, but are not limited to: interactive white boards, video conferencing, digital media (print and video), laptop and handheld computing devices, various software applications, web 2.0 tools and the Moodle content management system.

Ms. Vitti is dedicated to infusing technology and designing curriculum to meet the goals of the 21st Century skills by using innovative techniques. She has extensive experience in working with both new and seasoned teachers in developing digital portfolios showcasing technology-rich multimedia lessons utilizing a diverse collection of techniques, web tools and hardware that simultaneously teach the content while stimulating and motivating students.

Ms. Vitti has extensive experience using and administrating the Moodle content management system. She has trained Moodle administrators, district administrators, trainers and teachers to effectively utilize and create online courses that enhance curriculum for their students. She assists districts in developing collaborative projects and furthering their teachers’ understanding in order to effectively implement Moodle including working with one-to-one implementations using Moodle as the backbone of the one-to-one program.

In addition to training teachers, Ms. Vitti has been a prominent presenter at numerous local and national technology conferences including ISTE (formally known as NECC). She co-authored an article published in SAANYS Journal – “Dipping Our Feet into a Technology-Rich Learning Environment: One District’s First Step Toward 1-to-1” (Spring 2009). Ms. Vitti has also been a former Discovery Educator of the Month and has been featured on local news channels. Ms. Vitti is a Google Certified Teacher and Smartboard Certified. Ms. Vitti holds a BA in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood and a MS degree in Educational Technology from Long Island University.
