WHAT? Ignore the label?
UH OH - too much salt!
WHOOPS - there's more than one serving per package

Profile Summary

Health, nutrition and fitness have been a passion of mine for most of my life. I have spent more than 35 years conducting extensive research in these areas. I have also applied the results to my own lifestyle (and yes, my profile photo is me at 55 years old) while coaching many others in their own quest for weight loss, health and fitness.

I am the author of “The O. C. Diet Revolution” and was featured in the award winning documentary “Down Size Me”. I’ve been written about extensively both nationally and internationally; I have also appeared on ABC’s 20/20, Fox networks, many local television stations, and interviewed by radio stations around the world. I’ve conducted hundreds of health and fitness seminars on the fundamentals of weight loss.

Why Me?

Holding a Master’s degree in economics, I truly understand the critical role that prices play in the decision making process; however, this important role is seldom, truly understood by the general public. Many individuals see prices as only a means of getting what they want, yet prices are a signal to the consumer as well. As an example: a haircut costs less than brain surgery because it is far easier to become a hairstylist than a brain surgeon. As a result, there are more hairstylists competing for your business so prices drop. However, both of these professions require certain credentials through governing bodies – this does not hold true for “Certified Personal Trainers”.

The title “Certified Personal Trainer” means absolutely nothing in and of itself. There are NO governing bodies, industry-wide standards or state regulations for “Certified Personal Training Programs” – many certification programs do not even require a High School Diploma. With more than 300 personal training certifications available, most on the Internet with official-sounding names, you would be hard-pressed to find a well trained trainer. Are you willing to trust your body to an unqualified trainer?

So, what makes me different? At the age of fifty-six, I have maintained a physique, and health level that surpass many twenty- and thirty-year-olds today. I believe in the value of life-long education and hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from UCLA and Syracuse Universities, respectively. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Psychology. I use the same skills that I gained in my academic career to study and analyze the scientific research pertaining to health, fitness, and weight loss, and in many instances, I’ve come away disappointed with the lack of practical strategies that have been developed to help ordinary people achieve their weight loss goals.

If you genuinely want to lose weight, improve your health & fitness by partnering with a true professional; then, don’t hesitate to contact me.
