About Jeff Utecht
Jeff is an international educator and speaker, educational technology consultant, and author. For the past 9 years, he has been teaching at International Schools in the Middle East and Asia. From camels and cell phones in the deserts of Saudi Arabia to the 21st Century city of Shanghai, his travels have allowed him to experience technology and globalization through the lens of education.
Jeff says, “When I was 21, I set a goal for myself to be a principal of a school before I was 30. I’m not sure exactly why I set that goal for myself or why age was so important to me. I had my Master’s Degree by the time I was 27 and finished my administrative certification by the time I was 28. I was on track, I was focused. I started blogging at that time. I’m still interested in administration but more interested in leadership and how I, as a person, can help educators prepare students for an unknown future”.
At present he is in his 12th year in the field of education. He finds that no matter where he goes or what his position is, one thing remains constant…change. In his current role as the High School Technology and Learning Coordinator at the International School of Bangkok, he is constantly on a lookout for ways to improve education for students and help them prepare for the future. A future where content is not only free, but overwhelming and ubiquitous.

Nellie is an educator, speaker, author, and consultant. She holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in educational leadership specializing in curriculum & instruction and is a Blended and E-Learning Professional Development Specialist. Nellie is the founder of Integrating Technology for Active Lifelong Learning (IT4all) , a voluntary network that provides free and low cost professional development courses using Moodle and WizIQ for educators around the world.
