About the Class
This free information class will explain the English reading and writing and speaking covered in the 8 week program starting on October 10th.
If you need practice with your English speaking, reading & writing skills, you will LOVE this 8 week course. Classes will be scheduled 2-3 times a week with a drop in practice session every other Saturday for students who would like extra help. This course is specifically geared towards adult students over the age of 18.
In this class we will tell you how the course is laid out, show you what you will study and discuss a schedule. We try to schedule days that best fit your area's time zone. The teacher is an experienced ESL teacher and born and raised in North America currently residing in the Texas and Chicago area. For those who are interested in being tested throughout or at the end of the course, tests will be provided. This will also include an online study program with sound and some video that students can access free for up to a year.
We will be covering reading understanding (comprehension), discuss a poem, famous US short story, and read the book (very short, easy read) - Animal Farm. Discussions are part of practicing English allowing the instructor / teacher to help you to correctly phrase ideas and thoughts to be presented to other students. It is not required for anyone at any time to answer questions or speak in front of the class unless you have given an okay ahead of time. Each student will meet privately online with the teacher before beginning the course to talk about what will be covered and any difficulties the student feels the teacher would need to learn about. This is not required but included so that students can feel comfortable before beginning.
All adult students are welcome to join this free information class.
