How to Create an International Graduate Level Course Using Moodle with Tom Worthington

Acceptance of fully online courses by traditional educational institutions has been slow. This presentation describes how a postgraduate course in sustainable ICT was commissioned as part of an initiative to set professional standards for the IT industry globally. How the course was adapted for delivery by Australia's leading university is discussed. Tips on making Moodle courses acceptable to professional accreditation authorities and education standards bodies are presented.

The speaker was knowledgable but not current. He was also unprepared for this conference. However, I think he would have been effective had he prepared slides and tested his system for compatibility beforehand. Tom is smart and he knows what issues he had. I believe he will do better next time.

Perhaps because I was new to this class, but I coud not see the slides as Tom provided the links - clicking on the links took me to a web page with another link that took me back to the "launch class" link on the WizIQ launch class page!! I typed this to "All", there were some others too who said they could not see the slides... At the end, Tom did type out a link to slides, I hope I can retrieve that after leaving this feedback page!! But, I had a nice first experience, and am excited enough to attend the next MMVC11 class!!! Thanks!!!
