Spanish is the third most spoken language in the world, with more than half a billion Hispanic speakers spread over 135 countries. It is a major language in at least 55 countries and 27 countries have this as an official language. If you are traveling to any of the major tourist or business destinations, knowledge of Spanish is important. Hence, as foreign language, it makes sense to learn Spanish.
In this free public session, Rafael will walk you through Basic Spanish when traveling to any of the Hispanic countries. The example country in this session would be the third most populated country in Latin America: Colombia.
Why Colombia?
- Spanish is spoken really well in Colombia, which means that it is closer to dictionary Spanish and hence the way you should start learning the same.
- It is a beautiful touristic place, full of contrasts and diversity: from exotic beaches, through mountain chains and modern cities, to deserts and the Amazon jungle.
- The teacher [Rafael] was born there and is a perfect ambassador of his country.
To summarize, you will learn Spanish at the time that you get to know Colombia, The famous Colombian personalities around the world, the food, interesting places to visit, plus some relevant historical, economical, social, political and cultural facts.

About the presenter:

Rafael is 21 years old, from Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, studying in Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla in 9th semester of Social Communication and Journalism. Nowadays he is doing his professional training in India. Rafael regularly writes for his college's newspaper, "El Punto". He has done a lot of videos at college as director, script writer and editor and also presented a few TV programs for some audiovisual subjects. His emphasis on Journalism and Marketing and Traveling allow him to write and also get to know different cultures. He is a perfect brand ambassador for Colombia and talks about his country and its culture in this session.
