Data warehousing is the coordinated, architected, and periodic copying of data from various sources, both inside and outside the enterprise, into an environment optimized for analytical and information processing. It represents a significant solution to increasing data challenge. A data warehouse is, simply put, a single large database that has collected relevant information from several other sources into a single accessible format.

Dharmendra S Giri has 10+ years of experience in the areas of IT systems development and maintenance. He is presently working as Advisor Analytics with DELL International Services in Bangalore, India. His main responsibility includes providing consulting services in building Business Intelligent solution for DELL's Analytics Business.
In his last assignment with HCL Technologies, as Project Lead, he was involved in the Risk and Controlling application development for Deutsche Bank AG.
He has a Masters (degree) in Computers Application and Management from Nagpur University with specialization in Software engineering. His interests include reading non-fiction books and Hindi classic music.
