About the Class

Online Turkish Class course is designed to provide beginning students with sufficient Turkish to meet most of their everyday needs. Once students finish the all session, they should be able to speak, understand, read, and write Turkish at the level of intermediate Turkish class.

Learners of Turkish language are usually interested in developing all four basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Depending upon their interest in the Turkish language and their purpose in learning it, one or more of these skills may be emphasized.

Elementary - Intermediate Level is a beginning level course for learners of Turkish. The variety of Turkish presented in this sessions series corresponds to standard Turkish, the official language of the Republic of Turkey and the language spoken by Turkish speaker.

You will find out the following at these sessions of Turkish virtual class:

  • Familiarity with all materials ( work sheet from textbook, online materials, and multimedia)
  • Understanding general information related to the Turkish language
  • Using of the alphabet
  • Ability to identify, pronounce and write all letters
  • Ability to read and write words introduced in this lesson
  • Review of written and spoken alphabet
  • Memorization and active use of new vocabulary
  • Memorization and comfortable use of basic greetings and other common exchanges
  • Ability to determine which greeting/phrase is appropriate to a given situation
  • Fair understanding of the introduced grammar points
  • Understanding and memorization of expressions
  • Understanding of the vowel harmony, and present tense of verb to be
  • Memorization and comfortable use of verb endings and negation
  • Memorization and comfortable use of the conjunctions ve, ile, ama
  • Learning the names of family members and relatives
  • Asking about and describing families
  • Ability to ask negative questions with the verb to be
  • The present progressive tense, the interrogative
  • Memorization of the textbook dialogues
