About the Class
Leadership in society is the element that is responsible for guiding and directing others towards a specific purpose, aim or goal. For example, in the animal kingdom, the strongest and fittest male usually holds the position of leader of the pack or herd. He would be in charge of securing food, setting the migrational course and protecting the females and young
Leadership within the human species, however, is more complicated and the responsibilities of a leader are far more varied than in the animal kingdom. Many great leaders since the dawn of civilization have been responsible for building great cities and inventions which have changed the course of history. Leaders help define ideals that are important to society and have been responsible for times of both peace and war within their own countries and between nations.
