About the Class

The introductory class would be a study of the basic concept of the different types of Tissues in the Human Body. Tissues are of different types namely epithelial tissue,connective tissue,skeletal tissue,circulating tissues,muscle tissue,etc.

Each one of the above tissues has a specific location and function in the Human body which is very important to keep in mind. For example,epithelial tissues are composed of cells forming a continuous sheet. Epithelia function in protection,absorption,secretion and sensation. Connective tissues join and support other body structures and contains collagen,elastic and reticulate fibres. Bone is the main vertebrate skeletal tissue. Blood and lymph are circulating tissues. Muscle tissue is specialized to contract. Nervous tissue controls muscles and glands.
