This session would discuss the following topics:
- Definitions related to Linear Equations.
- Equations in one variable.
- Solving a linear equation in one variable.(Solutions can be integral and rational)
- Transposition method for solving linear equations in one variable, with examples.
- Five rules for solving an equation.
- Solving equations of the form ax+b/cx+d = m/n by cross-multiplication method with examples.
- Word problems based on linear equations. How to form linear equations from word problems? (Simple problems only).

Radha Saravanan, native of Pondicherry has been working as a Maths teacher since 2001 in Army school. She is a Bsc.,Maths graduate from Anna University, Chennai and B.Ed from IGNOU. She is married to an Army officer and is presently posted in Indore. Teaching is her passion. She has been working hard to teach maths in an innovative method. Her computer proficiency is equipped with Powerbuilder, sybase,HTML and flash. She is good in english and hindi typing and has excellent communication skills. She has always been an active member of Army Welfare Association.She believes in " Mathematics is a knowledge of truth and realities".
