About the Class

What is your most valuable possession? It it a piece of jewelry that has been in your family for years, or is it something you have had to work for to earn? How do you care for what you value? Do you allow your friends to misuse it; do you lend it out without stipulations about how it should be cared for? The likelihood is that if you neglect to care for and guard your possessions they will be ruined, lost or stolen. Needless to say, when you value something, you take care of it. You guard it as well as make rules to ensure that when others use it they will also take care of it.

A positive character is one of the most important possessions that you can own and value. It is the one possession that will yield positive results in your life and in the life of others, but only if you care for and maintain it. Just like any other valuable possession, you must guard your character and take precautions to ensure that your are not negatively influenced, and that you are making choices that will support your positive growth and development.

In this lesson, you will explore how to maintain your positive character and specific ways to resist influences that could leave you susceptible to negative conformity. Maintaining your positive character starts with you! You are the only one who can evaluate your progress in character development.
Other concepts that will be covered in this lesson are:
• Developing self-worth to maintain a positive character.
• Setting your mind in advance to uphold positive character traits.
• Having a purpose and setting goals in order to avoid diverting from a positive character.
