About the Class

A family typically initiates contact with a doula during their prenatal period. It is important for you to understand what changes occur during this time and the options that families are given.

At the end of this class participants will be able to:

* Describe physical, emotional and spiritual changes that occur during the prenatal period.
* List 3 tests or screenings that are performed during routine prenatal appointments.
* Define “informed consent”
* Identify signs and symptoms of Pregnancy Induced Hypertension and Gestational Diabetes.

This is the second class in the Sudharma Birth Services Birth Doula Training series.
