About the Presenter:

- elearning and mobile learning researcher , platforms: Moodle and IWT ( MoMA Center University of Salerno);
- e-tutor and white board interactive tutor certified by ANSAS/MIUR

About the Presentation:
This presentation:
- proposes some simple mobile learning activities;
- highlights the interweaving of formal, informal and non formal learning;
- describe the plug-in MLE-Moodle and its installation;
- invokes the importance of effective interactions of an online collaborative group;
- provides some reflections on the integration of e-learning with m-learning;
- suggests the adaptation of an tool already developed and used by the author (platforms: Moodle and IWT) for the monitoring and the evaluation of effective interactions, even in the case of MLE-Moodle.

Welcome to the annual connecting online live online conference (CO11). You are cordially invited to participate at the live online conference on the weekend of Feb 4-6 2011.


The conference will be of interest to educators, administrators, students, and community members who value the importance of integrating technology into the curriculum to improve instruction and learning. Online learning involves various skills on the part of the instructor and learner. These include social and communication skills, social networking, independent learning strategies, critical and higher order thinking skills, creativity, and effective online and face-to-face facilitation. In addition, there are may challenges that the educators, administrators, students, and community members face.


The CO11 will be conducted on IT4ALL Moodle with the presentations on WiZiQ through the Moodle.


The themes for the presentations are:



  1. Connecting Online to Improve Instruction and Learning: Online Learning and Instructional Experience

  2. Experiences with technology in face-to-face and online classes. What worked and what didn't work for you?

  3. How do you use technology to promote and sustain your online workshops, consultation, and communities of practice and learning?

  4. Research conducted on e-learning, blended online learning, and blended learning.

  5. Reviewing or promoting books on integrating technology into the classroom, e-learning, blended learning, and blended online learning.

  6. Challenges administrators, instructors, students, and community members face in connecting online.

IT4ALL is a non-profit network of volunteers that provides free professional development courses on how to integrate e-learning technology into full and blended online learning (BOL) courses and workshops using Moodle and WizIQ. Workshops on Moodle for Teachers, WebQuests, TESOL, ESOL, Integrating Technology, Web 2.0 tools, Math, English, Spanish and other subjects. The staff at IT4ALL are all volunteers who are passionate about instruction and learning and making a difference in the world of online education. The network was founded by Dr. Nellie Deutsch in 2006. IT4ALL includes a team of volunteers who are passionate about instruction and learning and promoting free e-learning around the world. The leading team at IT4ALL are: Dr. Ludmila Smirnova (professor at St. Mary's College in New York State, writer, experienced presenter and online facilitator), Dr. Nellie Deutsch (a Canadian instructional designer and curriculum development leader, who has been teaching English and integrating technology into her classes, and presenting, researching, writing, and providing consultation on Moodle for teachers. WebQuests, blended learning, and e-portfolios), Dariem Garcés (Moodle Developer, creator of the WebQuest plugin for Moodle, and expert in installing virtual learning environments), and other educators & technology experts volunteer their time and make up Integrating Technology for Active Lifelong Learning (IT4ALL).
