About the Class

(This class will be conducted mostly in Spanish. As prerequisite, you need to have an idea of Present of Indicative to be able to better follow the class. Gracias)
Rioplatense Spanish is a dialectal variant of the Spanish language, spoken mainly in the areas in and around the Río de la Plata basin (or River Plate region) of Argentina and Uruguay. This variant shares characteristics with other Argentinean regions and other Latin American countries. One of the features of this speaking style is the voseo: the usage of the pronoun VOS for the second person singular, instead of TÚ. In this class we will see the regions where it is used, its evolution, examples in Present of Indicative and Imperative and how to conjugate it in the Present of Indicative (followed by exercises).

This is a False Beginner's Spanish class It recycles previous knowledge on greetings, polite language, verbs Ser /Estar and Present of Indicative.
If you have not attended previous classes, you can see class recordings of a) GREETINGS, b) PERSONAL PRONOUNS, c) PRESENT OF INDICATIVE (-AR VERBS) d) SER/ ESTAR Class #1 and class #2; to have some background knowledge that will help you.
