The Karaoke English Recipe:

RECIPE:
Karaoke (a portmanteau of Japanese kara "empty," and ōkesutora "orchestra")[1](English pronunciation: /ˌkæriːˈoʊkiː/; Japanese: [kaɽaoꜜke] ( listen)) is a form of interactive entertainment or video game in which amateur singers sing along with recorded music (and/or a music video) using a microphone and public address system. The music is typically a well-known pop song minus the lead vocal. Lyrics are usually displayed on a video screen, along with a moving symbol or changing color and/or music video images, to guide the singer. (Wikipedia entry)

Now we add my (George Machlan) ingredients:

1 part Callan Method, 1 part TPR , (Total Physical Response),

2 parts LB, (Language Bridge by Arkady Zilberman),

1 pound of Twext, (twin text by Duke Twexter),

Season to taste with: Crazy English, (yelling),

Passion,

Fun with a generous helping of smiles,

Dance,

Once upon a time... (some story),

A dash of poetry,

Preparation:

Start with a right brain pot, Combine ingredients with a left brain spoon... Immediately remove from right brain pot, but save it for reuse later. Place the dough into your MP3 player while holding onto your worksheet. Place in the new super-duper WizIQ oven. Sing at 365 degrees fahrenheit (182 degrees celsius) until light and fluffy. Note that the texture should be very easy to manipulate and chew. Place the fragrant dish back into the left brain pot for serving.

You may now try this delicacy with your friends and teachers. It is best served warm and the more you share it, the better it becomes. Note: do not try additional Karaoke flavors (songs) until you have given away all of the first batch to every one's satisfaction. Some will not care for the flavor you have created but with practice they will enjoy it too. Do not try to make it exactly to thei

Profile Summary

We do not need "them", we only need each other.

This group of pilgrims called "The Edupunk" are seeking a new paradigm for online learning. We hold to several core principals:
1. All can teach, all should teach
2. Mistakes and willing to risk mistakes are much prefered over the false goal of perfection.
3. Fun activities and gaming are not only more engaging, they are the key to a sustainable model for learning... anything.
4. Live interaction and group activities create the basis for deep and experiential learning.
5. Accountability and competition is the basis of our community. We build and only associate with leaders who can recognize that they and every member have knowledge to share.
