About the Class
Business 101:
Making money the right way is knowing what Business is all about. Here in a comprehensive class on Business we will be learning about all the many factors that make a business work for you. We will be covering all the points that you will need to build your own business. We will begin with the forms of Business, Sole Proprietor, Partnerships and Corporations. We will learn about Business Licenses, Unemployment Insurance and Taxes too. We will be working on management skills, pricing for profit and Occupational Safety & Health compliance. We will touch upon Business Law, Management, Finance and Ethics to name but a few. What every Businessperson wants is to make money and in business that is called “Profit”… You can't make a Profit if you don't know what your “Overhead” or operating expenses. What about a Business Plan for the partners or for Government assistance (SBA)? What about marketing research? Do I have something special I can do or make that others will want to buy? How do we know? When you have completed this class you will be ready to open your own business or if you already own your business, you will gain the knowledge to make your business more profitable. We will be viewing eight (8) videos relating to Business and Management. Rather than the usual “Term Paper”, each Student will be making a Business Plan as we move along in our studies. The Book for this class is in PDF format and is available beginning with the second week of our class. Each Student completing this class will receive a Certificate of Study with CEU (Continuing Education Unit) credits (1).Here is the answer to all your business questions and problems….This class meets twice a week from October to January….. Thank you for your interest in our classes.
