About the Class

The purpose of this class is to demonstrate the presence of a rotating magnetic field in the operation of asynchronous three-phase motors; it also attempts to clarify some confusion that arises from applying the concept of space phasors vs. conventional phasors in this context. It also discusses some graphs where the complete resultant rotating field is shown for two-and four pole-motors.

Language of instruction: English

Keywords: motor, field, magnetic, current sheet, stator, pole, flux, biot-savart, asynchronous, ampere, rotor, vector, phasor, quadrature, air gap, mmf, 3 phase, three phase, space phasor, winding, rpm, coordinate, scalar
