About the Class


The next Moodle for Teachers Intermediate Workshop (M4T-I) is scheduled to begin July 1, 2010. The aim of M4T online workshop is to help you design and teach Moodle courses in an international multi-cultural learning environment.

Pre-requisites
You need to be familiar with Moodle basic navigation and editing tools and be able to add resources and activities. If you are not familiar with Moodle Basics we recommend that you enrol in the M4T-B3 Beginner workshop commencing September 2010.

Workshop Context


You will collaborate in teams to design or redesign a course on your chosen topic. You will add content and resources, explore web 2.0 technologies, integrate synchronous and asynchronous learning activities into your course and develop assessments for online learning. You will also be encouraged to reflect on the process of developing your course and to share your learning experiences with your peers.

IT4ALL includes a team of volunteers who are passionate about instruction and learning and promoting free e-learning around the world. The leading team at IT4ALL are: Dr. Ludmila Smirnova (professor at St. Mary's College in New York State, writer, experienced presenter and online facilitator), Dr. Nellie Deutsch (a Canadian instructional designer and curriculum development leader, who has been teaching English and integrating technology into her classes, and presenting, researching, writing, and providing consultation on Moodle for teachers. WebQuests, blended learning, and e-portfolios), Dariem Garcés (Moodle Developer, creator of the WebQuest pluggin for Moodle, and expert in installing virtual learning environments), and other educators & technology experts volunteer their time and make up Integrating Technology for Active Lifelong Learning (IT4ALL).

IT4ALL is a non-profit organization that provides free professional development courses on how to integrate e-learning technology into full and blended online learning (BOL) courses and workshops. Workshops on Moodle for Teachers, WebQuests, TESOL, ESOL, Integrating Technology, Web 2.0 tools, Math, English, Spanish and other subjects. The staff at IT4ALL are all volunteers who are passionate about instruction and learning and making a difference in the world of online education.
