About the Class

So, I am still interested. Did any of you buy the book (see previous posting here ) ? I did and the first three chapters are all background information about psychological stuff, the physical properties of time, and literary references to time.

I am still very interested in the potential of this discovery. It is not superficial "help yourself" pop psychology. There is some good stuff here, albeit a rather new discipline for social psychologists. We in the online world are at the forefront of a tsunami wave of social change. Particularly we are dealing with students (and teachers) who are trying to reconcile interpersonal skills that do not seem to work well with old paradigm learning systems.

The next class offering will be an open discussion at WIZIQ (see class advertisement below). I will share some of my notes from the book but primarily I would like to find out where this paradigm shift is taking you. Is this topic worthy of further conversation? Is it pertinent enough that we should be employing the knowledge into how we relate to clients, friends and students? We shall see....

Of note is that I will be sharing a quiz which will let you identify your time paradigm. This is a short test which we shall all take (no you needn't share your results). We will then look closer at the questions to see how they inform us of our personal time perspectives.

Profile Summary

We do not need "them", we only need each other.

This group of pilgrims called "The Edupunk" are seeking a new paradigm for online learning. We hold to several core principals:
1. All can teach, all should teach
2. Mistakes and willing to risk mistakes are much prefered over the false goal of perfection.
3. Fun activities and gaming are not only more engaging, they are the key to a sustainable model for learning... anything.
4. Live interaction and group activities create the basis for deep and experiential learning.
5. Accountability and competition is the basis of our community. We build and only associate with leaders who can recognize that they and every member have knowledge to share.
