About the Class
This is an experimental workshop to help people to get a better ranking in search engines. I am not a SEO specialist but I can share some of the "common sense" tips and tricks to get your web site ranked better on Google and other search engines.
Syllabus:
This is a live workshop, that means that YOU bring your website. If you have a web site or a blog, you can showcase it here in class and we will all try to find out how you can improve your site to increase your ranking for the search engines. This will include but not limited to these topics:
- Page title
- Page URL
- Page header
- Page content
- Backlinks
- Page Rank
Prerequisites:
To participate in this class you need to have your own web site or weblog (blog) either on your own domain or on a public service like blogger.com, wordpress.com or any other site that enables you to publish your own content. To get the most out of this class, you have to share the URL of your web site in class, so that we can all find out how to improve it to get a better page rank.
If you don't own a web site yet, but you are interested in having one in the future, you are welcome to come and listen or contribute your own ideas and tips.
