About the Class

Rescheduled class due to conflicts last Saturday

At this Saturday's "My ESL Friends" we will be interviewing Mike Marzio the originator of www.real-english.com this unique site offers anyone (teachers and students) the chance to better their English lessons with real life videos and tutorials.

We will be talking briefly with Mike to get the real story behind Real-English. We have uncovered a lot of never-before-scene pictures. You will be amazed at the story behind the man, behind the camera, behind the website!

We will then have Mike teach George how to use this wonderful tool for learning and teaching English.

Sorry about last Saturday. I was an hour late! George told me that you had server problems anyway, so I don't feel tooo bad about confusing GMT and RST times. It won't happen again. Also, let's hope that WiZiQ will be working well this time, too!

Profile Summary

We do not need "them", we only need each other.

This group of pilgrims called "The Edupunk" are seeking a new paradigm for online learning. We hold to several core principals:
1. All can teach, all should teach
2. Mistakes and willing to risk mistakes are much prefered over the false goal of perfection.
3. Fun activities and gaming are not only more engaging, they are the key to a sustainable model for learning... anything.
4. Live interaction and group activities create the basis for deep and experiential learning.
5. Accountability and competition is the basis of our community. We build and only associate with leaders who can recognize that they and every member have knowledge to share.
