About the Class

This class is a playful introduction to the WiZiQ platform. George is a power user at WiZiQ who enjoys encouraging all to try their hand at online teaching. This class will be casual and fun. It is not sanctioned by WiZiQ and is given from the perspective of a user.
Any questions may be entertained but, we primarily will be focused on your initial problems and experiences with this wonderful tool. I will be candid and forthcoming with my answers to said concerns which may or may not satisfy you. I will try to be sensitive to your concerns but I tend to be rather playful and sometimes confrontational in answering.
Please do me one favor, go to this site and check your system before coming to class: http://www.wiziq.com/info/technicalinfo.aspx

Thank you for a good introduction to WiZiQ. I look forward to learning more and actually implementing what I am learning.

The class was interesting as a first experience to WizIQ. Understandably, with so many people it was a bit chaotic, but then again that is part of the experience, the classroom management rules vary greatly in online classes.

George - Thanks for all your hard work supporting and educating folks across the world about WizIQ real-time virtual teaching and public and private options. I missed your real-time class but watched some of your recording.

WizIQ appears to be an affordable way of doing synchronous virtual classroom with webcam window and basic toolset and has a lot of potential for the following audiences: 1) small business, 2) not-for-profits and international NGOs, 3)K-12 education, and 4) Life-long learning.

This is an interesting learning platform.

Best regards,

Art Johnson

Profile Summary

We do not need "them", we only need each other.

This group of pilgrims called "The Edupunk" are seeking a new paradigm for online learning. We hold to several core principals:
1. All can teach, all should teach
2. Mistakes and willing to risk mistakes are much prefered over the false goal of perfection.
3. Fun activities and gaming are not only more engaging, they are the key to a sustainable model for learning... anything.
4. Live interaction and group activities create the basis for deep and experiential learning.
5. Accountability and competition is the basis of our community. We build and only associate with leaders who can recognize that they and every member have knowledge to share.
