About the Class

'Out' is one of the most frequently used particles/prepositions in phrasal verbs. It combines with hundreds of distinct verbs, most of which express verbs of motion. Usually, 'out' is used spatially to express the concept of an object moving 'out' of a container. In this lesson you will learn 7 different ways of using OUT. With this knowledge you will be able to 'work out' the meaning of hundreds of different phrasal verbs. If you wish to take part in this lesson, please see my introduction session first so that you can understand the concept of trajectors and landmarks.

Language of instruction: English

Keywords: out, phrasal verbs, particle verbs, prepositional verbs, spatial motion, containers, abstract motion

I was trying to write an article about phrasal verbs, and it's exactly about what I've just read here and I would like to thank you as you open my mind with regard to phrasal verbs. I just don't get why people insist on teaching in a wrong way, mystifying the whole thing. Thanks again,
