About the Class

Plan Stability, Baselines and SQL Plan Management: A small change in the object stats could change the plans consequently affecting the performance negatively. Stored Outlines help; but they make the plan rigid eliminating any possibility of a better plan. Oracle 11g’s SPM allows the best of both worlds – it still calculates the outline and them compares it against the plans stored; and uses the best among them. In this session you will learn how to create and use baselines, use them in successful database and application upgrades, fix issues in third party canned apps and so on.

Language of instruction: English

Keywords: it & computers: oracle, structured query language(sql), sql plan management
