eTeaching is not just getting an Internet connection, asking your students to log on at a fixed time and deliver the sessions like you were in a physical set up. It is not just a new platform but a new approach as well. eTeaching changes many dynamics : not only do you have to be technically proficient but also re-assess the way a course, interaction, and feedback is structured. Many teachers try to do this by trial and error and unfortunately, given the viral nature of the Internet, any mistakes or poor course delivery stops them from getting any students at all. Conversely, a good course delivery automatically gets you more requests from students worldwide. Automatically, you will have more students than you can handle. In a way, this works similarly to an offline way, you are as good as you really are. Only on the Internet, the word spreads faster. If you are just starting out with your eTeaching career or have not had the necessary success, then this session is a perfect meeting place for you. I would take you through some of my experiences in being an eTeacher.
