Joe’s Marketing Assignment: Advertising Jingle Public Class

About the Class

Joe is back! On January 16, 2010, the Management team helped Joe attempt his first Marketing Assignment. Remember, this time it was not a classroom case for him, but, a full-on real world, marketing job. Joe got to promote a real product: a TV cum PC to a set target market.
In the Second session on Marketing, the participants helped Joe build up and promote the BRAND. Namrata Arora, the moderator showed some videos on famous brands and their marketing stunts, to clarify technical Jargon related to Brand Competition.
Joe is ready for his third marketing assignment. And, this time it’s big decision-making. His Management team has asked him to assist in framing the Advertising jingle. Gosh! He is fond of music and lyrics, but this is real time promo stuff.
About the Task
The product falls under the Electronic items category. It is a TV cum PC to be marketed to students and organizations. The advertising jingle needs to be finalized. Joe has to decide whether the jingle should include information on post purchase use, disposal and services.
In the Class
The attendees will get to see some videos where information on post sale service and use is included in the jingle. The participants then help Joe pick up factors which need to be looked into for making the decision. In the end, they get to frame the actual content of the Advertisement.
