Bernd Kestler

Bernd, a German national, has enjoyed a career covering various roles in different industries including design/ construction, sales, recruiting and professional services. During the early years of his career Bernd had his first experience in workplace learning and management training with a small company in Wiesbaden/Germany.
His experience there led him to explore a career in Japan. Several years ago he combined his passion for developing people with the experience he made in Japan to pursue a career in HR (first in recruiting and than in management training).
Utilizing his wide network of contacts within the international community in Japan, Bernd has considerable executive counsel, management consultancy and group facilitation experience, particularly in working with a number of international clients form the consumer goods, retail and manufacturing industry. He has designed, delivered and managed personal behavioral change, negotiation and presentation skills, leadership, team building, and sales management seminars and workshops.
Bernd has a MA in Japan-related Science from the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf/ Germany. In 2006 he became a certified trainer for “The persolog Personality Factor Model” and has participated in numerous professional programs to develop increased training and delivery capability.
Bernd is a member of the German Chamber of Commerce in Japan as well as the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan. He became an experienced speaker as a member of Breakfast Toastmaster in Tokyo, including serving as president.
Bernd believes in using a blend of methods for his trainings in a mix of class-room learning combined with games, activities or role-play. He uses virtual classrooms or desktop sharing applications to deliver trainings remotely over the internet. You can visit him on his blog at : www.brainpool.jp
