Welcome to CO10 the annual live online conference. The conference will be of interest to educators, administrators, students, and community members who value the importance of integrating technology into the curriculum to improve instruction and learning. Online learning involves various skills on the part of the instructor and learner. These include social and communication skills, social networking, independent learning strategies, critical and higher order thinking skills, creativity, and effective online and face-to-face facilitation.

  • Tia & Ronlyn are Instructional Technology Specialist and Coordinator, respectively. They work with Teachers, Administrators and Staff for a large urban school district in MD (PGCPS). Through their office, they assist teachers with integrating technology into the curriculum and instruction; assist administrators with ways to manage, observe, and evaluate technology; and assist district office staff with student information systems. They also coordinate a district-wide program for teachers called Sharing Technology with Educators Program (STEP) where they work with teachers and administrators to learn tools to integrate into instruction by receiving grant funded equipment and training.

Thank you for the opportunity to present at CO10. Unfortunately, some pressing projects have come up in our office preventing us from being able to work solely on our presentation. The leading team at IT4ALL are: Dr. Ludmila Smirnova (professor at St. Mary's College in New York State, writer, experienced presenter and online facilitator), Dr. Nellie Deutsch (a Canadian instructional designer and curriculum development leader, who has been teaching English and integrating technology into her classes, and presenting, researching, writing, and providing consultation on Moodle for teachers. WebQuests, blended learning, and e-portfolios), Dariem Garcés (Moodle Developer, creator of the WebQuest pluggin for Moodle, and expert in installing virtual learning environments), and other educators & technology experts volunteer their time and make up Integrating Technology for Active Lifelong Learning (IT4ALL).

IT4ALL is a non-profit organization that provides free professional development courses on how to integrate e-learning technology into full and blended online learning (BOL) courses and workshops. Workshops on Moodle for Teachers, WebQuests, TESOL, ESOL, Integrating Technology, Web 2.0 tools, Math, English, Spanish and other subjects. The staff at IT4ALL are all volunteers who are passionate about instruction and learning and making a difference in the world of online education.
