Welcome to CO10 the annual live online conference. The conference will be of interest to educators, administrators, students, and community members who value the importance of integrating technology into the curriculum to improve instruction and learning. Online learning involves various skills on the part of the instructor and learner. These include social and communication skills, social networking, independent learning strategies, critical and higher order thinking skills, creativity, and effective online and face-to-face facilitation.

About the Presenter:
Eva Ferrari

Eva FerrariEva's research interests are focused on Social Communication and New Technologies, developed in 2006/2007 at the Human Technology LAB, at the Department of General Psychology at the University of Padova. Through her dissertation thesis (M.Sc) on the application of Social Marketing in Service and Professional Industries she developed her interest in studying users' needs and experiences from media. She used an exploratory and ethnographic approach to study the use of new technologies by people in their social and physical contexts. Eva is a Research Associate at the Psychology Department at Goldsmiths, University of London, focusing on studies on the ease of use and accessibility of consumer media products and services, as well as psychological evaluation of advanced media. Eva is now a Research Associate on the PASION project. Her role is focused on the evaluation of a social networking application supporting collaborative knowledge work.

Description of presentation:
The increased use of technology for work and leisure tasks in combination with access to portable technologies leads us to habitually multitask. Technology is also certainly, not just changing but also constantly increasing the access that we have to information. How can our brain cope with the countless inputs we are subject to every day? How are perception and attention involved in this process?

WebQuests, blended learning, and e-portfolios), Dariem Garcés (Moodle Developer, creator of the WebQuest pluggin for Moodle, and expert in installing virtual learning environments), and other educators & technology experts volunteer their time and make up Integrating Technology for Active Lifelong Learning (IT4ALL).

IT4ALL is a non-profit organization that provides free professional development courses on how to integrate e-learning technology into full and blended online learning (BOL) courses and workshops. Workshops on Moodle for Teachers, WebQuests, TESOL, ESOL, Integrating Technology, Web 2.0 tools, Math, English, Spanish and other subjects. The staff at IT4ALL are all volunteers who are passionate about instruction and learning and making a difference in the world of online education.
