About the Class

During this class I'll demonstrate how to play colorful harmony and introduce improvisational techniques to anyone interested in learning jazz piano.
The class is an introduction to jazz studies and I'll be exploring the subject from a beginners overview. You can listen and watch me play as I demonstrate basic techniques and harmonic ideas.
I'm a professional, practicing jazz musician, composer and educator.

A graduate of Middlesex University, London, Duncan McKee is a performer, composer and educator who has taught hundreds of students including Jamie Cullum, Britain's highest paid jazz musician. He holds a BA (hon) Music (jazz) and composes for television networks such as HBO and The Discovery Channel. Duncan teaches as LaSalle College of Arts, Singapore on the BA jazz programme and United World College. He performs regularly at festivals and jazz clubs.
