Prepositions are important as they are part of a sentence. In almost all sentences we speak or write,prepositions are there. It is preposition which shows the relation between nouns or pronouns. So the prepositions introduce phrases which always contain either a noun or a pronoun. Some show place relationship; some, time; while some others, manner. With regard to certain prepositions there are rules about their usage and with some, there are words which go along with them. Certain prepositions can be used as conjunctions and certain others, as adverbs. You can get a clear idea of all these in this class.
