About the presenter:
Nellie Deutsch

Nellie is a Canadian English teacher to speakers of other languages (EFL/ESL)
and doctoral student of educational leadership, specializing in curriculum and instruction at the University of Phoenix online. She is
researching instructor use of blended learning in higher education. She is also the Moodle co-administrator and coordinator at Integrating
Technology: Exploring New Domains which is a non-profit initiative to provide learners with free e-learning. My goal is to promote e-
learning worldwide in education, environmental issues, curriculum development, PTSD, Peace (Education4Peace), Storytelling, Second
Life, Mindfulness Meditation Practice, Collaborative Instruction and Learning via Wikieducator. Nellie is an accredited PAIRS and Reiki
practitioner with an interest in online distance healing. she is researching blended learning in higher education for my doctoral research
study. She has interviewed instructors who blend or would like to blend (mix) e-learning with face-to-face instruction in campus-based
classes in higher education in the US and other countries. Nellie has been teaching English as a foreign language for over 30 years and integrating
technology into the ESL/EFL classroom since the mid 1990s.
