What are Kirchoff’s rules? On what principle are they based on?
Kirchoff’s rules form the basis of analysing electrical circuits. They are vastly useful for simple as well as complex circuits. The rules are based on simple principles of conservation of charge and energy.
What are the usual areas of difficulty?
Though the underlying principle is simple yet students find it difficult to apply them to the numerical problems. These problems mainly involve resistors, batteries and capacitors.They can be tackled without much difficulty once a certain procedure is followed. Most textbooks follow these procedures but without adequate explanation. They leave many unanswered question.
How this class can help you ?
My goal , in this class is to answer most frequently asked question to enhance the confidence of the students. The method will be, to clear the concepts through carefully selected numerical examples. Effort will be made to go beyond the textbooks in explaining the techniques. Alternative methods will be mentioned wherever possible. Adequate attention will be paid to clear the doubts arising from topics under discussion.
