About the Class

There are synonyms in English. But it doesn''t mean that you can substitute one for the other on all occasions. When it may be right to say ''I am happy to meet you'' or '' I am glad to meet you'', is it right to say ''I believe you are fine'' or is it '' I trust you are fine ''Even though refuse = deny, look = see, say = tell etc, we have to choose the right word at the right context to convey the correct meaning. These small nuances in usage make you an acceptable or a good speaker of English. Let us look at such usages in this class and see the difference it makes in your spoken English. You will also be given a worksheet to work upon at your leisure and to be sent to me for correction and suggestion.
