About the Class

As an English Tutor, I interact with innumerable working professionals, housewives, job aspirants and students preparing for exams. Here are some dialogues I often come across.

• • “In my job, I go to places, I meet Peoples, Wants to talk to them, but I can’t.”
• • “My friends Prepares for an exam and Looks for coaching. You help them.”

The moment I ask the speaker to check the sentence for errors in Singular - Plural, s/he gets conscious and these mistakes go away. Again, these errors tend to be lesser in a written text or essay.

Why does the Singular - Plural sentence structure take a backseat when we speak or talk to others? Why do we concentrate just on maintaining the fluency?
