About the Class: |

The workshop will take place face-to-face at Thompson Rivers University, in Kamloops BC. and online worldwide. Participants will will learn about WikiEducator as a collaborative learning and teaching community. In addition, the workshop will include a hands-on component in which participants will learn a few basic wiki skills.

About the presenter:

Nellie is a Canadian (Toronto) residing in Israel who has been teaching English as a foreign language to high school and adult learners for over 30 years. Nellie is a nominated community council member of WikiEducator and actively involved in facilitating online asynchronous and synchronous or Blended Online Learning (BOL) workshops on wiki skills in Learning for Content (L4C), Moodle, teaching and learning English as a foreign and second language (TESOL & ESOL), Mindfulness Meditation, Storytelling & Cultures, Online Facilitation, Integrating Technology, and Maintaining a Healthy Wiki Way of Life. In addition, Nellie is currently writing her doctoral dissertation after completing a 3 year program in educational leadership, specializing in curriculum and instruction at the University of Phoenix online (scheduled to finish in 2009-2010). Nellie is researching blended learning and instructor use of web 2.0 tools for instruction and learning in higher education worldwide.
