About the Class: |
Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of Indian Mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji (1884-1960). According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras, or word-formula. or principles. These principles are general in nature and can be applied in many ways. The following are the topics that will be discussed in the class.
- Introduction to Vedic Mathematics & ancient system of Mathematics
- Introduction to main sutras and sub sutras.
- Problems on Vedic Mathematics.
Prerequisites: Basic Knowledge of Mathematics
Target Audience: Students who want to know why Ancient Indian Vedic Mathematics is so powerful, the basic knowledge about Vedic Mathematics and to know shortcut's in doing some basic problems.
