Welcome to Smart Teaching Online's weekly conversation club for intermediate and advanced English students. This space is dedicated to all those good speakers eager to discuss interesting controversial topics online with the sole purpose of helping you increase your language skills (specially your advanced speaking abilities).
Here you will have the opportunity to respectfully hear and express your ideas within an international virtual classroom. The Club is formed by a limited number of participants (1-5) who will discuss a highly controversial topic for 90 minutes. The English instructor performing as a moderator has broad expertise in helping students speak fluently and intelligently in a second language.
Everyone in the session will have the opportunity to speak, question and debate several times. The instructor will also provide participants with helpful feedback at the end of every session; such feedback may include vocabulary and grammar tips to enrich the learning process of the event. This class may have from 1 to 5 participants only. The idea is to make an exclusive space to get the best out of it for all participants. After the session is over, participants will have the opportunity to write an essay on the subject and e-mail it to the instructor afterwards, so he corrects it and provides you with personal accurate feedback. This feedback will be very valuable for your advanced speaking and writing skills.

Our conversational system of teaching English has been successfully introduced in schools and enterprises in Mexico. Some of the direct benefits of this class includes:
Acquisition of fluency and confidence when speaking English to unknown listeners;
Participation in a meaningful and constructive conversation with participants from different parts of the world;
Learning of useful strategies and techniques to gain accuracy in oral expression;
Offline practice to develop critical language skills in advanced English.
From time to time, the instructor will offer a free online private session to the students that become regular and commit to developing their proficiency in English to a high level.
It is extremely important for you to bring a good-quality headset with a microphone included. A webcam is not necessary for this session.
Don't think that much... the thinking will occur within the classroom.

Mario is a language instructor since 1995. He runs a personal language company called Smart Teaching Online. He currently teaches students in Mexico and other countries through WiZiQ. He believes in a supraschooling paradigm for teaching and learning and is devoted to create new ways to make people learn a second language. He has learned how to use technology to improve his teaching and is excited about sharing his finding with other instructors worldwide.
