About the Class: |
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a reliable language examination which has become the international standard for universities, corporations, institutions and governments to assess non-native speakers' proficiency in English.
The institution responsible for the creation and administration of this exam is called ETS (Educational Testing Service), a nonprofit educational organization located in Princeton, New Jersey, USA.
The TOEFL iBT (Internet-based test) was introduced in 2005. This examination has changed in format from its previous version since it now evaluates the speaking skills of the test takers. Questions on the TOEFL iBT often involve the use of multiple language skills at the same time.
Smart Teaching Online, offers top-quality personal training to college students, professionals and business executives seeking to obtain a high score in the TOEFL iBT.
Our training program is delivered through two main components:
- 1) A weekly Live Online Instruction Session through WiZiQ; and
- 2) Weekly Offline Practice Materials provided by STO.
This lesson will be given as a group class where students will be able to learn valuable strategies which will be practiced with the materials provided by the instructor in class.
The exercises must be done offline and sent to the instructor's email who will provide later feedback through a personal WiZiQ session to be given at an hour scheduled in agreement with the participant.
This session comprises three elements:
- 1) A group class
- 2) Working materials
- 3) Personal feedback session
Session Objective:
The objective of this particular session is to improve your Reading Skills through the making of outlines and the practice of paraphrasing.
