We come across vectors and scalars in everyday life. For example, distance is a scalar whereas displacement is a vector since it gives info about the direction also.In a conventional mathematics class, vectors are taught as just n tuples rather than emphasizing that they are arrows in space in the Cartesian coordinate system.
