English My Language- Session 3 Public Class

About the Class

In the first session on ‘English My Language’, the participants read aloud texts on various topics and then, assessed their own speech. The listeners were also asked to comment on the speaker’s Confidence Level, Articulation and his/her Attitude towards the English Language. It was observed that if English is considered as a foreign language, something alien, the speaker tends to get conscious of how and what he speaks, and these inhibitions are clearly visible to any listener. In fact, a slight tremble in the voice, a word or even an “a” or “s” left out, a frown on the face or the excessive movement of the hands, all exhibit the attitude of the speaker towards the language.

In the second session on treating English as My Language, besides an interactive feedback, the students got ''Tips'' on enhancing their Confidence while conversing in English.

This Third Session is meant for all those who want to interact with others in English and find out how the listeners assess their speech. The attendees can also expect a quick round of questions and exercises on Basics of Language.

All are requested to bring their headphones and microphones for the class.
